Project31 was founded by two-time breast cancer survivor Sarah McLean, who discovered that “remission” wasn’t the finish line she expected. Her spiritual health, her relationships, her sense of self all needed attention that treatment alone couldn’t give her—and she knew she couldn’t be the only one who felt that way.
That realization became Project31. Today, we’re a growing community offering support groups, mentoring, events, care kits, and more to women and families at every stage of the breast cancer journey—from diagnosis, through treatment, and into whatever life looks like next.

Project31 was founded by two-time breast cancer survivor Sarah McLean, who discovered that “remission” wasn’t the finish line she expected. Her spiritual health, her relationships, her sense of self all needed attention that treatment alone couldn’t give her—and she knew she couldn’t be the only one who felt that way.

No two breast cancer journeys look the same, but every one of them benefits from the same three things: being embraced, being educated, and being empowered. Here’s how we deliver on each.
Embrace. Through support groups, our private Facebook communities, and our newsletter, we make sure no one walks this journey alone.
Educate. Through our podcast, guest speakers, events, and our annual Survivorship Expo, we give survivors and their families the information they need, when they need it.
Empower. We help survivors become leaders themselves, whether that’s mentoring another woman, facilitating a group, or volunteering at an event.

Reach
10 support groups each month—7 in-person across Oklahoma and 3 online—with average monthly attendance of 109 women in 2026.
Care
948 Welcome Packs delivered to hospitals and treatment centers in the first seven months of 2026.
Community
Statewide events including Survivor Luncheons, our annual Survivorship Expo, the Sink4Pink Golf Tournament, and our annual Paint the Town Pink gala.
Meet the team.
Sarah McLean
Executive Director
Meet Sarah
Sarah McLean is a two-time breast cancer survivor. Her first diagnosis was at the age of 26 and her second was at 34. She has dedicated her life to the emotional and spiritual restoration of survivors as well as their families. She and her family founded Project31, which supports the breast cancer community through outreach, education, and support.
Eva Bartley

Meet Eva
Eva is a breast cancer survivor diagnosed at the age of 39. She enjoys mentoring and coming alongside women walking the breast cancer journey. One of the original leaders of the Project31 Enid group, Eva now lives in the North Houston area with her husband Jon and four children and serves Project31 in her staff role.
Jennifer Harrod
Director of Healthcare & Community Partnerships
Meet Jennifer
Jennifer, B.S.N, R.N., C.B.C.N., has been a registered nurse since 2012, having both clinical and operating room experience. She has also served as a breast nurse navigator for a local cancer center. Driven by her personal breast cancer experience, Jennifer brings her passion to Project31, walking with breast cancer survivors on their journey and helping to guide and educate with compassion.
Dawn Harth
Marketing Director
Meet Dawn
Dawn oversees the marketing and branding of Project31. She has worked in all aspects of the advertising and marketing business and has a heart for the mission of Project31, utilizing her love of the written word and passion for storytelling to help reach women and their families affected by breast cancer.
Krista Price
Leadership Team Director
Meet Krista
Krista is a breast cancer survivor diagnosed at the age of 30 while pregnant with her first child. She has found purpose in her story by coming alongside other ladies and encouraging them as they walk their journey. Krista is a leader of our Norman support group as well as serving Project31 in her staff role. She and her husband Ryan enjoy raising their three children, all things Disney, and cheering on OU football.
Pam Robertson
Resource Coordinator
Meet Pam
Pam served as a military spouse for 17 years, during which she was involved in several organizations. She has four grandchildren who keep her active. Before retiring, she worked with an international ministry for 15 years. Currently, she volunteers with The Military Welcome Center located at Will Rogers International Airport, as well as Grace Home in Blanchard, OK. Pam is an experienced caregiver to a breast cancer survivor.
Becki Sigmon

Meet Becki
Becki is a breast cancer survivor and is passionate about using her experience and her relationship with the Lord to serve other women and their families who are walking through the breast cancer journey. Before joining Project31, she worked for 37 years with the Department of Justice. She and her husband, David, are now enjoying time with their two grandchildren.

Tracy Cothran
Board President
Meet Tracy
Tracy Cothran is the president of children’s services at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital OU Health. She has 27 years of experience in the healthcare industry with a strong emphasis in improving access and early detection of cancer. Her current operational oversight includes preventative, screening, and outreach to survivorship and palliative care. Tracy has dedicated her energies to ongoing research to find a cure for cancer and to improve the lives of all people.
Outside of her professional career, she enjoys time with her family. Tracy has worked with Project31 for many years and is honored to have a small part in the positive impact the organization has on the women and families of our community.
Vicki Thorp
Vice President
Meet Vicki
Vicki is a licensed pastor who served over 15 years as associate pastor at Victory Church in Oklahoma City. In addition to her role on the Project31 board, Vicki also serves as a board member for MountainChild, dedicated to raising awareness and providing resources for the impoverished children in the Himalayan mountain region.
Vicki and her husband Russell stay busy with local business interests, including operating several commercial and residential rental properties and, most recently, opening a distillery in downtown Oklahoma City. Vicki and Russell live in Edmond, where they remain actively involved at Victory Church.
Lance Baker

Meet Lance
Lance Baker is the President and Founding Partner of The Advisors, as well as a Financial Advisor with Raymond James Financial Services. He was named to the 2022 edition of the Forbes list of Best in State Wealth Advisors. With a dedicated commitment to clients, he seeks to assist them with their financial plans, from managing debt to saving for retirement. Lance is passionate about helping clients pursue their goals.
Outside the office, Lance volunteers with a number of organizations—Project31, Vizavance (formerly Prevent Blindness – Oklahoma), and Kismet Arts Studio & Theatre. He enjoys golf, playing guitar, supporting his children’s activities, and traveling with his wife, Laura, and their two children.
Lon Fett
Meet Lon
Lon is the secretary/treasurer for Harrison-Orr Air Conditioning, a commercial mechanical contractor in Oklahoma City. With a heart for personal and leadership development, Lon serves in many voluntary and leadership roles throughout the community, in addition to his role on the Project31 board. He is a trustee on the Sheet Metal Workers Joint Apprenticeship Committee, secretary for the Sheet Metal Contractors Association, and an active member and deacon of Edmond’s First Baptist Church.
Lon and his wife Jennifer have three boys: Charlie, Sam, and Owen.
Donita Smith
Meet Donita
Donita has always had a deep passion for nonprofit work, both through her career and volunteer efforts. As a two-time breast cancer survivor, she truly values the mission of Project31 and the support it offers to women on this journey.
In addition to Project31, Donita volunteers with several other nonprofit organizations. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and currently works with the Rogers County Drug Abuse Program. Her role includes working with juvenile and adult drug court participants, women in the Rhonda Bear Program, individuals under DA supervision or DHS involvement, as well as those who are self-referred or working toward family reunification.
Kristin Biggerstaff
Meet Kristin
Kristin is an oncology nurse and hematology consultant. She’s passionate about making a difference in the lives of oncology patients and families. She lives in Edmond with her husband, Chris, and they have two children—Sydney and Spencer. Kristin also serves on the Oncology Nurses of Central Oklahoma board.
Joshua Wells
General Counsel, Voluntary Member
Meet Joshua
Joshua Wells graduated from the Oklahoma City University College of Law in 2008, where he served as Research Assistant to J. William (Bill) Conger, General Counsel and Lecturer. While at OCU, he also served as Executive Editor of the Law Review and competed on the moot court team. Joshua attended Oklahoma Baptist University, where he was a three-year letterman on the basketball team. He graduated with a B.A. in English and a Minor in Psychology.
Prior to passing the bar, Joshua was hired by an Oklahoma City firm that specialized in complex litigation, securities fraud, and consumer class actions. Joshua further represented multiple small businesses and individuals in a variety of litigation, human resources planning, and a full range of corporate legal issues. After 6 years, Joshua went on to serve as General Counsel and Director of Development for an international non-profit headquartered in Oklahoma City, where he oversaw all legal matters while also leading their fundraising efforts.
